Trusts Director - Great Prospects
Job description
Join one of the most prestigious financial and professional services firms in the country.
Based in Guildford, this is an opportunity for a senior trust tax professional to bring their considerable experience to a role that involves managing their own portfolio of clients, as well as working with other senior members of the firm to provide advisory and consultancy services to the wide range of high net worth companies and individuals they work with.
This is an opportunity for an established professional to make their name within one of the shining companies of UK tax. Fundamental aspects of the role involve delivering the highest level of service and maintaining existing client relationships.
More specifically, you’ll be in charge of your own portfolio of personal and trust clients, many of whom have complex tax affairs. On a day to day basis, you’ll be working on compliance and advisory matters, always within the deadline in mind. From time to time, you’ll work with the partners to plan and execute tax planning projects, including those related to onshore and offshore trusts, capital gains and inheritance tax issues, and non-domicile matters.
You’ll also work closely with the HMRC, fielding queries and handling correspondence related to compliance and advisory services. More broadly, you’ll monitor the firm’s budgets and be responsible for billing. Additionally, you’ll work as an overseer of junior staff members, reviewing their compliance and advisory work.
Who You Are
You’ve already got considerable experience working in a related role. You’ve worked your way to the top of the tax field by having exceptional planning and organising skills, expertly balancing workloads to ensure on-time delivery with the least amount of stress and pressure. This involves managing your own workloads but also knowing where and how to delegate properly.
You have used your professional skills extensively within a respected firm in the past. You have worked on all matters of complex tax affairs, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax, and working on tax projects.
This is an opportunity that doesn’t come around that often. However, if you’re ready to level up your career and work as part of a respected history firm that continues to be at the forefront of UK tax affairs, then be sure to get in touch to learn more about the application process.
